Title: Magic NBA Championship Chances
mgsports - April 23, 2008 04:45 PM (GMT)
I would say Yes and against the Hornets or Jazz.

Maybe. The Pistons and Celtics are no easy win. I don't think any other team in the playoffs can shoot as hot as we did in game 1. If we some how catch fire in the later series, then maybe. We must get out of this series first. I wouldn't put my money on them, but I wouldn't be surprised.
MagicMadness - April 23, 2008 05:39 PM (GMT)
Sure, we have a shot.
Though obviously the Celtics and Pistons have a much better shot, it would seem. The way the Cavs are playing right now, you've got to factor them into the equation as well.

It's possible, but the Pistons and Celtics would be the only team really standing in our way. It'd be tough to stop them, but you never know. Anything can happen, like how the Warriors took out the Mavs last year. We could get hot, and then either of those two teams might take us lightly and we end up coming out victorious. I better not get ahead of myself though, haha.
MAGICMANEVAN - April 23, 2008 07:13 PM (GMT)
I sure wouldn't bet on it. There are many teams better than us. No need to get ahead of ourselves.

Let's get past the first round, first. Too nervous still to even think about this.

If the Sixers can beat the Pistons, then anything can happen.

Exactly. 8-)

According to Hollinger we have a 5% chance, which is better than all but 5 teams. So yeah, I'd say maybe. I actually think we'd beat most teams out west and I am starting to like our chances against Detroit better. I mean, if Dwight keeps playing like this, and Nelson does his thing, who is so much better that it would not be close? Maybe the Celtics, but no one else.

It's always a maybe. You never know if Garnett or Billups gets injured. Same with LeBron. Anything can happen. We always have a chance at making it. I think personally the West wins it this year either LA or San Antonio.

We're not gonna win anything if Turk and Lewis go 0-13 from behind the arc again...
gomagic33 - April 24, 2008 01:58 AM (GMT)
We are also not going to win with the current showing from our bench.

That's true, I was hoping they might've snapped out of it by the time we get deep into the playoffs.
